The Life of Iwori Otura
The continuous biography of this odù's own spiritual evolution — celestial works, then earthly works — told as one unfolding life. Click any title to read it.
Source Provenance
Primary source: the Spanish text of Iwori Otura, Odu 58 — composite Iwori source master.
Source edition scope: the Iwori Otura block of that master only — from the heading IWORI OTURA through the end of Story 6, Mosawere Awo. The trailing divider and the next-Odu title banner are outside this edition and are not translated. The body preserves the source's order and full translated text; source uncertainties are collected in the linked notes at the end.

Patakín:
Shango accepted war against a very strong and powerful enemy who lived on the plain. Shango climbed the hill and from the height observed all the enemy's movements and threw an ota tied to a sling at him; it struck him in the head, knocked him down, and killed the powerful one; and not content with this, he came down from the hill and with his sword cut off his head.
