Our shared responsibilities

ifa101.org Policies

Effective August 23, 2026. These policies explain how the community works, what members agree to, and how privacy and safety choices are handled.

Terms of Use

Agreement and eligibility

By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms, the Community Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.

Your content and responsibility

You keep ownership of content you post. You give ifa101.org a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service, subject to your audience and privacy settings.

You are responsible for what you post. User posts are the views of their authors and do not represent or reflect the views, teachings, endorsement, or official position of ifa101.org or Ifa 101. ifa101.org is a hosting and community platform and is not responsible for member statements to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Educational service

The library and community are offered for education and discussion. They are not a substitute for guidance from a qualified religious elder, nor are they medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

Moderation and availability

We may review, limit, label, preserve, or remove content and may restrict or end accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these policies, protect people, comply with law, or maintain the service. A report alerts Admin; it does not automatically remove content or prove a violation. We may make mistakes and do not promise that every item will be reviewed immediately.

The service is provided “as is” and may change or be unavailable. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ifa101.org disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

When these policies materially change, members may be asked to review and accept a new dated version before continuing.

Community Guidelines

We govern ourselves in the spirit of Ifá principles: good character, truthfulness, accountability, civility, and care for community. Members may disagree and express themselves in their own voice, but must do so without demeaning or endangering others.

Your personal content controls

You may hide a single post or mute a member’s posts without unfollowing or ending a friendship. These choices affect only what you see; they do not secretly remove the content for everyone else. You can reverse them from Content controls.

Reporting

Report content that may be dangerous, violent, bullying, obscene, invasive of privacy, improperly revealing ceremonial secrets, deceptive, or otherwise contrary to these guidelines. Reports notify Admin and are handled as confidentially as reasonably possible, but confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where investigation, safety, or law requires disclosure. Do not knowingly submit false or retaliatory reports.

Privacy Policy

Information we use

We process account details such as email and username; profile information you choose to add; posts, comments, messages, relationships, bookmarks, records, privacy choices, reports, and policy acceptances; and limited technical information needed to keep you signed in and operate the site.

Current traffic measurement records a page path, time, and a temporary random browser-session identifier. It does not intentionally collect IP addresses, referrers, browser fingerprints, or user-agent strings for site analytics.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide accounts and community features, honor visibility choices, secure and improve the service, respond to reports, and comply with law. Profile and post visibility depends on the audience you select. Private messages are not displayed in Admin traffic or public-activity analytics.

Information may be processed by service providers that host or secure ifa101.org, including Supabase and Cloudflare, and may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety. We do not treat private practice information as public merely because it is stored by the service.

Your choices and security

Use profile and post privacy settings to choose an audience, and use Hide post or Mute member to tailor what you see. No online system is perfectly secure; avoid posting information that should never be stored or disclosed. You may request account assistance through the site’s administrators.

Children

ifa101.org is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If such information is discovered, it should be reported to Admin for appropriate action.
