Osa Ose (Osa She)

Shelei dedicated himself to planting yam (ishu), and because he was in good standing with the Orishas, he would dedicate the largest and most beautiful yams to them. Because of this, he always achieved abundant and successful harvests, building a loyal clientele.

One day, numerous enemies, consumed by envy, began to curse him relentlessly. The curses were so many and so strong that when Shelei went to harvest the yams, they came out split, losing their quality. As a result, Shelei began to lose his prosperity.

In desperation, Shelei came up with the idea of pouring water at the base of the yam plants at the moment of harvest, to soften the soil. Using a stake, he managed to extract the yams whole — but they were rotten on the inside.

Desperate, Shelei went to consult Orunmila, and this Ifá (Osa She) appeared. Orunmila told him: "You have many Arayés (enemies or evil people) who curse you daily. You must find new seeds and a new piece of land far from where you live, so you can prosper again, because your current crop is contaminated by disease."

Nota: This path (camino) speaks of termites or decay in the blood, bones, or internal organs. The person may appear healthy and strong externally, but they are internally deteriorated, and their luck is in imminent danger.

Orunmila caught one of his sons engaging in inappropriate acts with his mouth on a woman's vagina. Although the man tried to clean himself after being caught, his mouth remained stained with blood, as the woman was still menstruating.

Nota: This is where the vice of Mamú Obo (oral sex on the vagina) originated. The owner of this Ifá (Osa She) is susceptible to falling into this vice.
